Tiny Games Kickstarter

There is a current Kickstarter project (running through April 13) that I feel is very important.   I decided to make a short video about it to help raise awareness of the project.

The project is called Tiny Games, and it is out of a studio in the UK called Hide & Seek. They are developing an app/PDF with hundreds of small games that you play in the physical world with other people.

This app/PDF is all about enabling you to play with the people around you.  I made a video in support of this campaign.  It’s not a paid video, nor did they even ask for this.  (they don’t even know I’m doing it!)  I just feel this is very important, so I want to help get the word out.

You can see my video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vapE5W2QsI

and you can support the project at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1755218595/tiny-games-hundreds-of-real-world-games-inside-you

New Blog section on classes

There's a new section in the Becuase Play Matters blog - the Syracuse University Game Related Classes.  The idea is that we are gathering all of the courses across campus that are related to games and putting them into one place.

You can find that information using the matching tab at the top of the page!

Come Play on March 18

On Monday from 9-5, come by Slocum hall on the 1st floor atrium to play with some cool interactive technology!

A few months ago, Lorne Covington presented his interactive video installations at the Game Designers' Guild, but we only saw a demo of it.  Now you get your hands on the stuff!

He is going to have some of the technology he has developed out and available for people to play with.  In case you missed that meeting or need a reminder, you can see his work here: http://noirflux.com/

If you would like to come and play, come visit us on Monday, March 18, between 12 and 5 in Slocum Hall!
